The Center for Environmental Health has been working to protect children and the environment from toxic threats for nearly a decade.

In addition to our work to make playgrounds safe, CEH helps to prevent cancer, birth defects, asthma, and other illnesses by pushing major national industries to change their polluting practices and eliminate the toxic products that threaten our health.

Our work has protected millions of children from dangerous levels of lead in baby powders and children’s medicines, reduced medical waste and stopped waste facilities from polluting the environment, and created model government policies to prevent pollution before it starts.

Right now our work is leading the national drive to get lead-tainted children’s jewelry off the store shelves, and protecting children from health risks associated with the toxic materials in computers and other electronics.
